Services

Advocacy for critical and neurocritical illness

Every service is advocacy support — helping families understand, prepare, and communicate. Medical decisions always remain with you and your treating care team.

Navigating the ICU stay

Orientation to how the ICU works, who is on the team, and how to get consistent updates — so you can focus on your loved one.

Understanding ventilator and neurologic care conversations

We help you understand the terms and information your care team shares and prepare questions to ask them. We do not recommend treatments or outcomes.

Coordinating communication across providers

Keeping communication organized among intensivists, consultants, nurses, case managers, and family members, with clear notes on what was discussed.

Family meeting preparation and support

Preparing questions and priorities before family meetings, attending (with the care team’s agreement), and helping you debrief afterward.

Discharge and post-ICU transition advocacy

Help understanding step-down, long-term acute care, rehabilitation, and home options presented by the team — including an explainer of Medicare discharge appeal rights (the "Important Message from Medicare" notice and how to request a review by the Quality Improvement Organization).

Insurance appeals support

Organizing documents, timelines, and correspondence for denials and appeals. Not legal advice.

Connecting families with resources

Pointers to caregiver support, palliative and hospice information, rehabilitation and community resources, and patient-rights offices.

How engagement works

  1. Free 15-minute consult by phone or video. Please don't share medical details through the website.
  2. Written estimate outlining scope, time, and fees.
  3. Signed advocacy agreement confirming the advocate (not doctor–patient) relationship.

Fees

Private-pay. Hourly and retainer options. [Pricing placeholder — to be added by Tauseef]

What we do not do

  • Diagnose, examine, treat, or prescribe
  • Create or change care plans or write orders
  • Recommend treatments, withdrawal of treatment, or specific medical decisions
  • Act as an emergency service
  • Provide legal advice

Physician-advocate disclosure

Tauseef Qureshi, MD is a licensed physician. In his work with TRAZA Advocates, he acts solely as an advocate for patients and families — not as a treating clinician.

  • No doctor–patient relationship. Engaging TRAZA Advocates does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Dr. Qureshi or anyone working with the practice.
  • No medical advice, treatment, or care plans. We do not diagnose, examine, treat, prescribe, write orders, create care plans, or recommend any medical course of action.
  • Your treating team decides. Medical decisions belong to the patient, their legal decision-maker, and the treating care team. We help families understand conversations, prepare questions, and communicate — the choices remain yours and your clinicians'.
  • Not for emergencies. If someone is in danger or needs urgent care, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
  • Not legal or insurance advice. Help with appeals is organizational and educational; we are not attorneys or insurers.
